Mixing our Faith

In Romans 1:16-17 it says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein (in the gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

Anything we will ever need in this life will come forth by mixing our faith with the gospel (Heb. 4:2 and Romans 1:15-17).

When Jesus rose from the dead He overcame all sin, all sickness and disease, poverty, lack, unforgiveness, every principality, every power — anything and everything that would hinder us from walking a victorious life. He overcame so that we can overcome. In I John 5:4 it tells us how we overcome:

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

There is absolutely nothing that cannot be overcome if we will mix our faith with the gospel, the power of God.

Jesus made an exchange for every single person on the cross. He did not leave out anyone because He is no respecter of persons. But the ones who receive the exchange He made are the ones who believe what He did for them on the cross.

I’ll share a few examples of the exchange He made for us on the cross.

In 2 Corinthians 5:21 it says, “For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. We are made righteous by faith in the blood of Jesus. Our own righteousness is of the law and is self-righteousness, but we are made the righteousness of God by faith in His blood.

Another example of the exchange Jesus made for us is that He took every sickness and every disease upon His body and with those stripes He took, we were healed. And if we were healed, then we are healed! Read Isaiah 53:5 and I Peter 2:24. We can walk in divine health, or if we get sick, we can be healed by the power that raised Jesus from the dead because He paid the price for our healing on the cross.

When the devil comes knocking at our door, we don’t have to let him in. We can tell him that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost and sickness and disease have no place in this temple.

When the devil came to Jesus in the wilderness and spoke to him three different times, in Luke 4, He told him, “It is written, it is written, it is written,” and quoted the Word to him each time. We should do the same when he comes trying to put lies on us.

And the last example I will give is II Corinthians 8:9, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich.” Be rich is present tense and it means be abundantly supplied for, increased with goods, wealthy. Jesus did this for you and for me. And when we believe what He did for us, we will walk in everything He provided for us on the cross. It may not happen over night, but as we continue to get a revelation of the price He paid for us and the exchange that was made, we will walk in total victory in our lives.

John 10:10 says that the thief (Satan) comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have life more abundantly. We have a choice on which one we want to believe.

I would encourage you to believe the power of God and walk in the abundant life that Jesus came to give you by making choices that line up with the Word of God.
