Psalm 103:20-21 – “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His Word, heeding the voice of His Word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.”
Faith is voice activated, and when we speak and declare God’s Word, it says that the angels of God take heed to the voice of His Word.
When it says the angels do His Word does not mean the angels just come and pick something out of the bible and do that Word. No, that word has to be spoken out of our voice out loud in order for them to heed the voice of His Word. And then the angels will go on assignment according to the Word which we speak.
Psalm 103:21 says “Bless the Lord, all His hosts……” A host is an army (as in warfare) appointed for battle. These angels are in battle for us performing the words we speak. And it goes on and says ‘You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.” They are ministers of God, which is what Hebrews 1:14 states referring to angels, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” The word pleasure means do His delight, His will or His favor. These angels do the will of God, which is His delight and His favor.
What an incredible thing to have angels go on assignment for us when we declare or speak God’s words- not our own words, but God’s words by faith. They immediately align with truth to bring forth our answer. That’s why it’s so important to speak out loud, not just think silently on the Word of God. Although, there is a time where meditating on the Word of God is important. We are then getting it into our imagination, which gives us a picture of what we are meditating on and that picture will eventually produce what we are believing for.
Another thing to take note of is we have to be in submission to God’s Word to have His mission spoken through us for the angels to go on assignment for us. We must be in submission to the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. When you know your authority in Christ, the angels recognize that, as well as demons. They know when we are truly commissioned by God using the authority He has given us to declare His truths for our lives. Then they are commissioned by God to go on assignment for us to perform God’s will and good pleasure for our lives.
There are so many places in the bible that talks about angels. One thing is, we are never to worship them. They are God’s ministers on assignment for us. And not only that, but angels are there to serve and guard and protect us (Ps. 34:7 and Daniel 6:22). They can also warn us of things (Matt. 2:13). All throughout the bible you will see where angels came and spoke to people. Next time you read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, notice how many times this takes place.
Many years back, I had an angel come into my bedroom while I was sleeping. The presence of this angel woke me up and then started speaking to me. He kept right on walking by the side of the bed to the end of the bed while talking to me and never stopped walking, and then he immediately left the room. I laid there weeping because before I had gone to bed that night, I had cried out to the Lord about some things and God heard my cries and sent that angel to minister to me right out of Psalm 112. It was an amazing thing. That’s the only time I have had an experience like that where I not only felt his presence but saw this angel.
So praise God that we do have angels on assignment for us and they are God’s ministers to do us good.
